Personal Portfolio
Design Concept: My design concept was to go dreamy, approachable, yet straightforward. I chose my colors based on my favorite colors, as well as the straightforwardness of that the cool colors gives. The pictures emote the dreaminess which is meant to show creativity. The circles and rounded rectangles are meant to be soft which portrays approachable. The typefaces - with the main headings being more creative and some flair, but the following headings and paragraphs being a straightforward san-serif font that is best for web. The photos I used of myself show my love of family and friends. The gradients keep the flow of the design consistent and soft. All my elements and choices are meant to help direct flow and stay with with concept
Revamping Dining
Design Concept: Bright and bold like the food being served! The previous application was out of date and lacking proper design to give information that students were looking for. By choosing a bold color palette, high resolution photographs, a map, and a more focused design students find the information they are looking for.
Travel Website: Hometown Edition
Design Concept: The focus with this page was to go for a warm, welcoming, and homey feel. Given that one of the best seasons of the year in Michigan is Fall, the colors are muted and warm to reflect the season. Highlighted are some of the best aspects of the city to attract new people such as food, events, and the history. Overall the idea was a simple, clean design with minimal descriptions and a highlight on the scenery. The typeface- with the headers reflects the bit of history that the town has, while the sans serif font as the paragraph text keeps it easy to read and informational.
